5 Vacation Travel Tips

Enjoying a vacation is the norm unless you run into some snag. A minor deviation in your travel plans can wreck your mood for traveling and put you off for future vacations. So it is always best to follow a few tips that savvy travelers use time after time.

  1. Practice Safe Sunbathing. Ignoring this Caribbean travel tip may mean severely burned skin, or worse. Before you take off your clothes think twice about overexposing your skin to the sun.   2. Make sure you have a signed, valid passport and visas, if required. Also, before you go, fill in the emergency information page of your passport.
  3. Read your country’s Consular Information Sheets (and Public Announcements or Travel Warnings, if applicable) for the Caribbean destinations you plan to visit.
  4. Familiarize yourself with local laws and customs of the countries to which you are traveling. Remember, your country’s Constitution does not follow you! While in a foreign country, you are subject to its laws.
  5. Make 2 copies of your passport identification page. This will help replacement should you lose or have your passport stolen. Leave one copy at home with friends or relatives. Carry the other with you in a separate place from your passport.
