Caribbean Vacation: Are You a First-Time Cruiser?

You’re thinking about going on a Caribbean cruise, but you don’t know what to expect. Or perhaps you’re new to cruising and don’t want to be the odd-man out. Getting involved with new situations can be scary and uncomfortable. Even if you are outgoing, you sometimes find it awkward spending time with some people.

On the other hand, you catch fire when you meet some others for the first time. So you imagine there is a good chance that you will not enjoy your vacation. After all, a cruise vacation includes hundreds of people. But most cruising beginners do overcome their fears and join in the goings-on once they are on board. Most cruises plan similar activities to the ones you do for entertainment while onshore.

Here’s a taste of activities you can enjoy on a major cruise ship:

  • relaxing with your loved one or friends and family in a solarium
  • climbing walls just as you do during workshops sponsored by your company
  • spending time with your family
  • playing games of all sort
  • shopping for your jealous friends you left onshore
  • dining and dancing
  • and too many more to list

And the best part is being able to boast about your accomplishments aboard the ship when you return home. You could even write a few articles about your first experience on a Royal Caribbean cruise vacation and submit them to your favorite travel journal. Many publications will be happy to hear about your conquests and other experiences as a first-time cruiser.

While we are not suggesting you take a Caribbean cruise on a specific ship, we do recommend you book a cruise as soon as possible and live to tell the story.
