Caribbean Vacation is an Easter Parade
Well, Easter is an important Christian holiday. During your trip to most Caribbean islands you will see many displays of Easter. Perhaps you will see young people flying kites, pitching marbles, or taking part in a skit depicting the sacred time of the year.
Easter is the time when Christians remember their Savior, Jesus Christ. This is the time when the Lord died and rose from the grave. It is a time of rejoicing after the season that saw Christians repenting for their sins by at least changing their diet. On Good Friday, today, they would eat only fish and not other meat. During this weekend, called Easter, they would also take part in religious services that include a lot of pomp and ritual. Some may visit the beach and hang out with others seeking relief from their hectic days at a job.
If you visit the island on your vacation during Easter, take time to observe the sacred observances that the islanders take part in. Happy Easter!
