Going Home for the Holidays
My sister left for the Caribbean last week for her annual trip back home. She will meet with my other sister who lives in Florida and a host of relatives still cooling their heels in the sunny islands. Christmas is a time many people travel to meet their loved ones and of course celebrate Christmas if that is their style.
For me, Christmas does not hold the same feeling as when I was growing up. It has become too commercial and stressful. But I still observe the sacredness of the time and continue to give good cheer to those around me. To all those who are traveling this Christmas I wish you well and a safe journey.
