Valentine’s Day on a Caribbean Vacation
As you read this you are aboard a luxury ship sailing the Caribbean Sea. You are at your third port of call and you are pondering whether you should go aboard. The temperature is comfortable but cool with a sniff of hot air rising now and then as you think over your options. You look down and see the perfect movement of the waves as they lash against the side of the ship, a mammoth ship that is filled with exuberant passengers. It is getting to that time when you got to make a decision. As you step backward you feel a gentle touch on your shoulder, and you turn around to see two sparkling bluish green eyes meet yours and you get a sense of “what if”. It is a fleeting thought as the stranger smiles but remains silent. Is this the night of nights? Is this your night to remember?
You exchange deep and lasting smiles with the ominous figure and begin to wonder again. The ship’s public address system begins to blare and you hear a loud voice echoing a final call for cruisers wanting to go ashore and enjoy a romantic dinner at the beach. You peer on the table beside you and see your traveling bag sitting idly but beckoning you to pick it up. Is this the night? Is this your night to remember?
Then with a whiff of caprice, you pick up the shaggy cloth bag and flings it over your shoulder signaling your intent to move. The stranger moves in precision and follows you as you hurriedly try to play catch up with the rest of the passengers heading for the shore. Is this your night? Is it the night you remember what a caribbean vacation means. You could care less about the details because you only want to enjoy the moment; you want to enjoy the passion of the evening, the adventure of wading the beach on a special night. Life could not be better as you go ashore to begin your journey into the Caribbean night.
